The employees at Gillece are trained to deceive people because I have never heard a good story about them that's been positive. The reason I ask people is because they took me for 10k. on a sewer line repair. He's what they do:

1. You call them in for a $99 cleanout. The Field Manager preforms the cleanout and then grabs his camera and sticks it into the drain.

2. OH NO! You have major problems... busted house trap, collapsed pipe, shifted terracota pipe or WORSE YET... your plumbing is NOT within proper code!!! Sound familar????

3. The field manager says 'we can fix all these issues'... then he writes you up a total quote... brace yourself it's going to be a big one like for $8,000 - $10,0000.

4. He then comes you down and says DON'T worry we have financing options. He will then show you a bunch of financing options through GE or bank Of America (possibly others).

5. He'll then ask you 'so what's stopping you from having us start this today'? You say well the 10 grand... he then PRETENTS to be on your side and call into the main office and talks to a manager in billing. "Hey can we do anything for this guy in terms of pricing? Like maybe use a furnance installation coupon to knock-off $500". The manager will ask to talk to you. He will then tell you that he has a CREW in the area that is doing nothing waiting on a permit delay from another job. He needs to get them working so if you can agree to the deal right NOW, he'll knock off $1000 or $1500. He always says that they have a CREW of guys that can knock this thing out. You be back to using your shower , running the dishwasher in no time. BECAUSE this clean-out will only last you 4 days and your backed back up.

6. You agree and then they make you sign the contract and get the service charged to your new financing. The 'CREW' is composed of TWO guys. They drop off the equipment and dig a hole or cut the concrete (AKA start the job) and then they're done for the day.

7. NOTE: IF YOU ARE IN DAY 1 or 2 of this process CANCEL THE CONTRACT. You have 3 days. If you are aren't then you were just taken for 8-10k. The job will be done by 1 guy and he'll take as long as he needs. The inspectors are in Gillece's backpocket too because Gillece pays so much (well the consumer pays) so much in permit fees each year.

They pull this pressure sale BS on everyone. It's scare tactics that work on most people. I know this people when I spoke to other people who had them in their homes - the tried to RUN THE SAME EXACT SCAM on them. They also are known for running their EMERGENCY SERVICE SCAM in which they falsely tell you that they service you need is an emergency. If you sign that contract, that removes the normal 3 day contract void clause... they get digging as fast as possible so they contract takes effect. Total BS and TOM GILLECE and his boys ened up in court for that one as well.

Gilleces service are groosly overcharged. 8k jobs can be done for 2500 in most cases from other customer's experiences. Change a faucet for $800? Tried $115 through another service.

Please post your comments and similar experiences and help keep others safe from these BLOOD SUCKERS. They have now have A BIG NEW building with a ton of overheld... future customers will read your comments. Help someone else... 35b212b

This is exactly what happened to me. We got caught in the "Emergency Service waiver" part of the scam. We actually had to go to small claims court with these scammers.

Contact Jennifer Kelly at the Pennsylvania Attorney General's Office. They are putting together a case to put Tom Gillece in jail and get your money back for "bait and switch" tactics.
