I was having problems with my furnace and I called a handful of places. Gillece was the first to respond, so I had one of their technicians come over and check it out. Even before the technician looked at the furnace, he started laying the groundwork for his big-ticket sale - rather than evaluating the furnace and seeing how to repair it. He started filming me, his paperwork, himself - yes, he still hadn't opened the furnace!. Surprise, surprise, he found a hairline crack in the heat exchange (or at least he said it was a hairline crack) and started telling me that I'm emitting carbon monoxide into the air:. NO - REPEAT NO - MEASUREMENT OF THE AIR WERE EVER MADE to confirm that his theory that the furnace was emitting carbon monoxide into the air were ever confirmed.. He then pasted a sticker on my furnace which said something like "Stop, Furnace Unsafe'." After this he broke out his handy price chart to show me how much the fix was.. To replace the heat exchange it was $2,700,. I never led him finish, but he alluded to a new furnace costing $5,000!. The next day, I called Climatech and they actually took measurements and we decided to replace the furnace for $1,799 TOTAL! Putting the Gillece approach and tactics aside, the simple price difference - Gillece's quote of $2,700 to replace one single unwaranteed part vs;. Climatech's complete replacement of the furnace for $1,799 total - gives rise to serious questions about their business and practices. 35b1e99

Believe what you read here. Extremely fast response with extremely high prices. I agree they are looking for the big ticket and appear to immediately turn a $100 job into a $1000 one. Look at their BBB record - bad report. I'm advising my neighbors to avoid them.
