| 2. Written by Loud Mouth on August 28, 2011 The story Former employee has told is 120% true and it's the same thing i've been posting for months. I have met with jeniffer Kelly in person to tell her the stories of Gillece's practices. I even went as far to tell her names of people and couples that I upsold jobs when they didn't need it at all. Pittsburgh still doesn't get it yet!! |

| 5. Written by Mister Mister on August 22, 2011 The way "Former Employee" has explained the process is pretty much the way it is. They even took a installer helper with hardly any technical experience and made him a service tech after 2 weeks of training. Why? Because he showed a talent to sell! Is this what Tom means when he says in his commercials "My reputation is on the line when you call my company"? Yet he will fire an experienced and completely certified technician because the technician does what he feels is right for the customer. YOU BE THE JUDGE! |
6. Written by Former employee on August 21, 2011 its embarasing but i used to work for gillece as a hvac technician. i quit but more on that later. let me tell you a bit about what gillece does.... 1st u call in and talk to a csr. their job is to set the appt. u will notice they ask a few questions like how old is the ac/furnace/water tank (whatever u might be calling in for) thats because the oldr it is the better chance the tech has to convince u to buy a new one. then from there it goes to dispatch. their job is to pick which tech goes to which job. their better salesmen go to the better jobs like if the furnace is 15 years old they will send u someone who they think can sell u a new one its not about fixing it. or if u want an estimate for a new unit they send a "field supervisor" aka a salesman who isnt a tech and knows nearly nothing about equipment other than how to sell it to u. he isnt a repairman. dispatch also send out the calls based on which one they think is most valuable money wise. that means if someone is 5 minutes away from u at another job and u call in but ur call isnt a big money maker u have to wait because the tech is gonna go some where else where the money is. u will also notice u dont get a price over the phone thats because the techs have a pricing manual which is extremely marked up. when the tech gets to ur house his job is to make as much money off u as possible and he needs to do whatever he can to do that including using scare tactics. i was told to tell an old lady her furnace was emitting dangerous CO lvls and it had to be replaced asap because it was dangerous but really her furnace wasnt emitting CO at all but i was told to tell her that by the "higher ups". plumbers have scared people into buying new sewer lines because sewer gas was the reaosn for their miscarriage but thats true at all. scare tactics!!! then they send people out to upsell a job and get even more out of u and convince u to buy stuff u dont need but they make u believe u need it. 6 thousand for an ac? 20 thousand for a new furnace and ductwork repair??? yep thats how it is there and the techs get big bonuses for ripping people off so the techs are more inclined to rip u off because it benefits them. they dont care if ur on a fixed income or on disability and if ur a senior thats even better because ur easier to take advantage of. if ur a single woman they look at that and go oh that one will be easy and they will take advantage of u. its terrible. i quit because i hated the feeling after ripping people off like that. the last straw was convicing an elderly couple to buy a new furnace and ac that they didnt even need for over 15 thousand and even more for duct work and they had to use up money from their retirement and were basically broke after that. the look in their eyes when they signed the papers was it for me it broke my heart. i had to leave. beware of gillece people please. |

| 8. Written by AngelaB23289 on July 27, 2011 I whole heartedly agree! Unfortunately (or fortunately, perhaps) I have not been taken advantage of by this company so I can only be so much help, but I've heard of and from far too many that have been preyed upon by them. What somebody needs to do is create an e-mail and page whether it be a facebook, twitter so on and have all of the others that have been wronged get in contact with each other. Then get in contact with a lawyer willing to take this case. It shouldn't be difficult to find one, you just have to look! The internet will be a huge help to find a lawyer and to see the steps you should take for a class action! I wish all of you the best of luck with this and I sincerely hope it actually happens and something comes of it! You all deserve to have your voice heard. Best of luck! Keep us all updated, we're rooting for you! ![]() |
